About us...
Tilon UK Limited is comprised of a group of engineering experts who focus on creative recycled product solutions for a wide range of industrial, commercial and residential projects.
Since 2008, we’ve accomplished much success across a range of market sectors. We strive to remain a carbon neutral business in recycled manufacturing and work together in order to stay within all project budgets while providing maximum quality for our clients.
...and our Tilon Product Range
Tilon products are manufactured from recycled bottles/bottle tops that would have been sent to landfill all around the UK.
Our scaffold boards, acoustic barriers, partitions & walkways consist of over 95% recycled waste material once manufactured.
Tilon use plastic recyclers in the UK for their waste material, this helps to keep the carbon footprint down when manufacturing a recycled composite material.
The materials can be recycled all over again, once they have exceeded their expected service life thus creating a circular economy.
Tilon recycles and reuses all non-conforming manufactured product as part of its in-house environmental process.
It requires on average 17,000 bottles/200,000 bottle tops make - 1 tonne of recycled waste material.
Tilon manufacture over 15 tonnes of recycled composite material per week that equates to nearly 800 tonnes of bottles/bottle tops that have been re-directed from landfill sites in the UK per year.
In the UK we throw away around 455,000 tonnes of plastic bottles every year – equivalent to around 9.1 billion bottles.
Around 11% of our household waste is plastic, and 40% of this is plastic bottles.
Recycling just one plastic bottle saves enough energy as the equivalent required to power a 60W lightbulb for 6 hours.
Of the 260 million tonnes of plastic the world produces each year, about 10% ends up in the OCEANS (Worlds Ocean Report 2016)
Of the 8.3 billion metric tonnes that has been produced, 6.3 billion metric tonnes has become plastic waste. Of that, only 9% has been recycled.
The vast majority, 79% is accumulating in LANDFILLS or SLOUGHING off in the natural environment as litter (Dec 2018)
RECYCLING means LESS ENVIRONMENTAL DAMAGE and SAVING ENERGY & MONEY......
Making NEW things from RAW RESOURCES takes up a LOT of ENERGY and costs MORE.

Tilon products have been established since 2008 and specialises in the manufacture of noise barrier, scaffolding and decking from polymer composite materials.
From our factory in Ebbw Vale, South Wales - the company operates a manufacturing process which utilises recycled polymer materials, primarily and combines this material with reinforcing fibres to create semi-technical composite materials.
Tilon materials exhibit excellent performance characteristics such as high strength and resistance to environmental degradation in combination with are relatively low material cost base.
The material is extruded into various profiles and utilised in range of applications and markets.
Scaffolding Boards currently sold worldwide
